While you can’t view the entire films online at present, the trailers to Up the Yangtze (2007), director Yung Chang’s heart-rending look at how the rising of the Yangtze River affects the Shui family and their daughter Yu Shui, and Waterlife (2009), Kevin McMahon’s sweeping an poetic look at the incredibly complex and troubled ecosystems of the Great Lakes, should whet the appetite for these award-winning docs.
