New Films for Water Week

Check out the schedule of new Canadian films revealing the truth about this precious resource.

It seems unthinkable that clean water could ever be scarce or potentially even disappear due to factors and systems under our control. Consider this contrasting figure: approximately 1.1 billion people in the world live without access to safe drinking water and yet the average Canadian daily domestic use of fresh water per capita is around 329 litres.

Luckily, Water Week (March 22) is here to help promote messages and debunk the myths around the notion that water is as free, clean and in no way threatened as we assume it is. TVO has put together an impressive program of Canadian films to air throughout the week, each with vibrant new exposure of the issues. TVO will air the world premiere of new film Water On the Table which showcases prominent speaker, scholar and activist Maude Barlow taking aim at the waterbrand bullies.
