I agree with what your saying. People do not know that cotton is NOT grown in Canada and one way or another there is a footprint from another country. While it is great to support Canadian made, it is also important to support companies that have sustainable and ethical clothing and help out developing countries as well.

hello anonymous, i appreciate your feedback on the certified organic cord vest. currently, i design all my clothes in halifax, nova scotia with each garment being handcrafted by a few tailors i work closely with in northern rajasthan, india. i visit india regularly working through the details of creating beautiful clothes. with using certified organic cotton grown in india, i have chosen to have my clothing handcrafted in india. it makes a lot of sense for right now. having something handcrafted in canada is a good choice, but does not necessarily define the fabric as being from canada. so as a conscious consumer its good to find out where the fabric source is coming from, as you never really know unless the clothing label specifically defines the clothing ingredients. is the cotton fabric from usa, china, turkey, india or africa? and is it conventional genetically engineered cotton or is it certified organic cotton? in any event, i thank you for your feedback and wish to pass along a few great websites that go deeper with organic cotton info: http://www.pan-uk.org/Projects/Cotton/index.html http://www.organicexchange.org/ best to you, laura

Anyone know a company in Canada making Mens business wear? H & M has organic cotton shirts but they are sized SML not properly fitted to neck and arm. Anyone have a tailor in Toronto making mens wear to fit with alternative fabrics? thx N
