Did you know that Copenhagen is the host city for COP15, the United Nations Climate Change Conference scheduled for late 2009? COP15 is the pivotal meeting at which global leaders are supposed to hash out a replacement for the Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012. In the spirit of Copenhagen, then—where an estimated 36 percent of citizens commute to work by bicycle (that number is about 2 percent in Canada)—try getting in the saddle this spring and pedaling. Cycling is one of the simplest and most significant ways you can cut your carbon footprint.
