Grilled Soy-Sesame Asparagus


It only takes about 20 minutes to make these gourmet, grilled, soy-sesame asparagus. Pick some asparagus up at your local farmers' market this week because it won't last much longer!

INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsp (15 mL) toasted sesame oil

1 Tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1 tsp (5 mL) brown sugar

1 1/2 lbs (675 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed

2 Tbsp (30 mL) toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

1. Preheat the grill to high heat.

2. In a bowl, mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and brown sugar. Toss the asparagus with the dressing.

3. Place asparagus on grate, and cook until tender (about 8 minutes). Garnish with sesame seeds to serve.

Serves 6.
