From orcas to owls, help your kids get to know Canada’s species at risk and how to protect them
Green Living Online
There’s no disputing that kids love animals. So why not introduce them to a few that they can really help?
According to the federal government's Species at Risk Act,
there are 516 species that are classified as endangered in Canada.
Sadly, some of the most significant threats to these plants and animals
are human: for example, habitat destruction as a result of pollution or
urban development as well as overhunting.
Click “NEXT” to learn more about these animals and the campaigns in place to protect them from extinction.>>
