8 Priceless National Parks

It's impossible to put a value on these amazing destinations. These beautiful oases have helped define a country and will continue to shape its future.

In summer, there are direct flights from Germany to Whitehorse, several times a week. The big draw? Canada’s wilderness as embodied by the territory’s incredible parks. Places like Kluane National Park and Tombstone Territorial Park are fixtures in the imaginations of outdoor enthusiasts around the world—and they’re right in our backyards. So the next time you’re looking for an exotic travel destination, just click over to Parks Canada and pick your poison. Looking for ocean vistas and lobster dinners? Try Cape Breton. Want to pack your binoculars and a copy of Birds of Canada? Visit Point Pelee. Hoping to earn your stripes in the backcountry? Head to Banff. Those are just three of the gems we revisit here in honour of Canada’s Parks Day. Don’t miss the hundreds of events that are planned across the country, including eco-challenge hikes, kite making workshops, campfire sing-a-longs, and more.

I agree these are indeed national treasures however it would be nice to expand the list beyond 8 National Parks as there are a few more worth mention one of these is Pukaskwa located on the shores of Lake Superior
