Delta Chelsea

More than 40 of Delta's hotels have been rated by the Hotel Association of Canada's Green Key Eco-Rating Program, including this hotel in the heart of Toronto, which has received four out of a possible five green keys. The program rates hotels in nine areas, including energy and water conservation, waste management, idoor air quality and environmental management. As the recipient of the 2008 Hotel Association of Canada's Energy and Environment award, the Delta Chelsea has a waste management partnership with Turtle Island Recycling that diverts more than 75% of the hotel's solid waste from landfill. The hotel has also undergone a carbon footprint assessment and developed an action plan toward becoming an even greener place to stay.
