Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment

CAPE was founded in 1994. It is a non-profit organization comprised of 5,400 medical doctors and concerned citizens from across Canada who work to protect the environment and human health.

CAPE’s mission is to:

• collaborate with other health organizations, concerned Canadians, and environmental organizations to achieve the strongest environmental protection in the world for Canadian citizens;
• ensure doctors are at the table to ensure health protection when environmental laws are under consideration;
• teach young people to be the environmental leaders of tomorrow.
