The Green Life

The Green Life focuses on staying up-to-date with the latest green trends, events and news around the world.

Canadian sweetheart and world-class athlete Clara Hughes is a true inspiration to all Canadians. Her bronze medal win at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics was a perfect end to an immensely successful career.

With more time on her hands, she looks forward to adventure travelling with her husband. She will also continue to be actively involved in organizations that are close to her heart, including Right to Play and Take a Hike Foundation. With an instinctive need and desire to help these organizations, she hopes to have a great impact on young people.

Hughes has always enjoyed embracing a greener lifestyle. With a strong connection to nature, living green has always felt like the right thing to do. She also eats organic food and commutes by bike to the Olympic Oval in Calgary.

Catch Hughes on the Main Stage at the Green Living Show on Saturday April 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. Lessons Learned will not only discuss the greatest race of her life at this year’s Olympics, but will share her thoughts on living a green lifestyle.

“Your world can be opened up by coming out to the show,” says Hughes. “There’s an incredible energy of people living in the best way. Making better changes and making the world a better place to live.”

Hughes will also be at the Natur-a Booth from 2:45 – 3:45 p.m. to take photographs, give autographs, and meet with fans. Come meet one of Canada’s top female athletes and share in the lessons she learned from her Olympic experiences.
