Finally consumers can buy farm fresh Ontario prepared foods at their local grocery store year round. Ontario’s Own is making its mark by launching a brand of everyday prepared food products like stocks and sauces from exclusively local ingredients. The Ontario's Own eight-product launch line includes pure fruit purees; stocks and sauces; Ontario¹s only sparkling water; and prepared meals developed by renown Chef Jamie Kennedy, a well-known celebrity-pioneer of Ontario's local and advocate for the slow food movement in Canada. Each product features a specific Ontario grower, and promotes the contributing farmers.

Every item produced is considered from an social and environmental perspective and the company has holds strongly to their core values of being committed to:

- Encouraging the family farm tradition

- Keeping farm land in production

- Reducing food travel/shipping miles

- Supporting local economies

With increasing numbers of people showing they want to choose foods grown in Ontario, but also eat more seasonally, that is the gap that Ontario’s Own products are helping to fill. While that desire is fairly well-served in meat and dairy markets, preserved and prepared foods help you enjoy eating local food all year long.

You can find Ontario’s Own products the refrigerated section of select Loblaw stores, select Longo’s stores, Rowe Farms stores, Fiesta Farms, and other specialty grocery stores. For a full list of locations visit ontariosown.ca.
