Whenever beauty and education are together in one place, you can definitely count me in! Known to some as merely a fantabulous (fantastic + fabulous) facialist, Jenn is in fact my goddess. Dewskin Studios, her salon, is a mecca of phenomenal eco facial products. Everytime I lie down on her facial table, Jenn teaches me even more about a true holistic approach to skincare - which I love love love! Sometimes the best connections we can make for finding healthy products come from the pros. I recently told you all about Astara Skincare, but truth is that without Jenn I wouldn't have known about that line or the Blueberry Smoothie Enxyme Peel from Cosmedix - which is to die for!. In a one hour facial, she introduces me to a variety of lines and detoxes and deeply cleans my pores. I always feel like I leave with a glowing complexion. Unlike my experiences with facials that use conventional crèmes, scrubs, toners, masks and other unrecognizable potions, these green products do not irritate my skin as they are truly pure. Did I mention they are also incredibly effective? Deep cleansing of the skin is necessary, but irritation and splochiness are not; it's as simple as that. Moral of the story: look around for facialists and salons in your area that feature clean lines - because having to hide skin made red splotchy from a chemical reaction is the worst! Green and clean salons are all around and even many "regular" spas are featuring an eco-facial option or have chemical-free products on hand as an alternative. Just ask.
