What was great about the product:

  • This line up has partnered with Plant-it 2020, a non-profit foundation that plants trees in countries all over the world — for every product sold the company emerginC will plant a tree via this foundation.
  • No animal testing — company has signed The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
  • The fragrance of the products was lovely — so fresh and light due to the aloe.
  • These products were great for our testers who came back from sunny vacations with a bit of a sunburn. The product was gentle and helped relieve their stressed skin.
  • The cleanser and toner were great for sensitive skin.

What was NOT so great about the product:

  • The packaging. Though it can be recycled (it is PE 1), it is not made from recycled plastic and does not even carry the recyclable symbol.
  • Though the product notes its organic ingredients, we could not find out if they came from certified organic farms.

Grade from Green Living: B (the ingredients are great, but the packaging needs work as does the supporting documentation for the “organic” ingredients).
