(Apr 19, 2008) Seriously...log off. Go outside. Stand on the earth. Work your garden. Hug a tree. Smell a flower. Celebrate being green! We'll still be here tomorrow--promise.

Need to find an Earth Day event? Click on the green map at Earth Day Canada. and find out what's happening in your community. Parlez-vous français? Trouvez votre événement au Jour de la Terre.

Whether it's pancakes in Tofino, hikes in Calgary, a zoo run in Saskatoon, collecting litter in Winnipeg, a drumming circle in Toronto, mission composting in Montreal, a horse race in Truro or cleaning the beaches in St John's Newfoundland, there's an activity near you.

Not from Canada? Head over to Earth Day and find out about all the big events happening all over the world. The Green Apple Festival is happening in eight cities around the USA. Taj Mahal, Ziggey Marley and Tommy Lee are just a few of the artists performing. It's free to anyone wanting to celebrate Earth Day. Be sure to sign their Sky Petition asking the US government to impose a moratorium on anymore coal-fired power plants and phase out the exisitng plants.

The EnviroLink calendar also has a good listing of Earth Day events with a few international listings.

Go have fun. Happy Earth Day!
