(Apr 27, 2008) Thanks to everyone who came to the Green Living Show. You didn't let the TTC strike stop you from coming and celebrating what it means to go green. Thanks to all our exhibitors who made this year's show such a success. Here's to a greener and more sustainable future.

Who we are
The Green Living Show is a unique consumer event dedicated to all things green.

The environment continues to be a top-of-mind issue for Canadians. The Green Living Show provides a unique opportunity for suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, distributors and cause-related organizations to reach thousands of motivated consumers interested in acquiring practical green solutions they can blend into their daily lives.

The Green Living Show helps individuals help the environment in an engaging and entertaining way. And it gives exhibitors access to these keen, green people — and there are more every day.

Attendees can visit hundreds of eco-friendly exhibits, ranging from energy, transportation, home and garden, foods and beverages, to green building, eco fashion, health and wellness, eco tourism and recreation. A main-stage itinerary, which features a star-studded list of local, national and international environmental experts, celebrities and entertainers, is also a big draw for the increasing number of Canadians who want to go green.

The first Green Living Show
The inaugural Green Living Show was launched at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, April 27-29, 2007, and was a huge success. It featured over 265 exhibitors and a main-stage line-up that included former U.S. Vice-President and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore, Canadian environmental icon David Suzuki and celebrity activist Darryl Hannah, among countless others. Attendance surpassed 20,000 people over the course of the weekend.

Green Living Show 2008
In 2008, the Green Living Show will debut in Vancouver, Feb. 29-March 2, at B.C. Place. It returns to the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, at twice the size, April 25-27.

Great show again in 2008! RFK Jr. was a great addition. Suggestion: eliminate the plastic cups and containers used by some food and beverage exhibitors to sample their wares. This is NOT green! Compostable paper cups and plates are far more acceptable. Also, I'm surprised Lexus was allowed booth space... even their hybrid vehicles are hardly environmentally responsible.

Hey thanks for the great blog, I love this stuff. I don’t usually do much for Earth Day but with everyone going green these days, I thought I’d try to do my part.

I am trying to find easy, simple things I can do to help stop global warming (I don’t plan on buying a hybrid). Has anyone seen that www.EarthLab.com is promoting their Earth Day (month) challenge, with the goal to get 1 million people to take their carbon footprint test in April? I took the test, it was easy and only took me about 2 minutes and I am planning on lowering my score with some of their tips.

I am looking for more easy fun stuff to do. If you know of any other sites worth my time let me know.
